Sweet Cow Ice Cream

Sweet Cow Ice Cream is a small ice cream scoop shop located in Louisville, Colorado. In 2011, Denver Westword named Sweet Cow the best ice cream on its "Best of Denver" picks. Owner Drew Honness offers various homemade ice creams and sorbets to choose from!

One must end the day with a sweet treat. Cows apparently do it, so I say even pandas must get in on that.

Even a bike with the Sweet Cow logo and name!
As is the case with every scoop shop, it's tasting time! A couple of flavors piqued my interest. The Kung Pao Cashew ice cream was good, complete with real cashew bits. I'm sure the spicy wings I had earlier in the day prevented me from really appreciating any heat, though. I guess I really didn't need those taste buds anyway.

You may see a Fruity Pebbles ice cream on the menu, using real Fruity Pebbles cereal. I wish The Rock coulda gone here for one of his promos when hyping his WrestleMania XXVIII match with John Cena. The cereal itself predictably got soggy in the sea of ice cream. Otherwise, great texture and consistency.

The blueberry sorbet was a winner for me. A small cup (one scoop) for three bucks capped off a great day of sightseeing and epic eating. Extremely refreshing and smooth.

Blueberry sorbet, next to the Sweet Cow menu!

My friend got peanut butter chocolate ice cream and called it one of the best ice creams he's had. Score another win for Sweet Cow!

I now urge Sweet Cow to continue to push the envelope and experiment with more non-traditional combos. Ice creams and sorbets provide a limitless canvas for awesome creations. 8.5/10

  1. This ice cream bar offers so many delicious ice cream. I particularly like the Blueberry sorbet. But my teeth ached after eating too much ice cream during my last visit. I had to get an emergency appointment with the cosmetic dentistry in Omaha. I'm glad my dentist provided me a toothpaste for my sensitive teeth. Now I can eat ice cream all I want without hurting my teeth.
