In need of some caffeine while doing some sightseeing in the area, Steveston Coffee Company provided just that. Started in 1997, it's a small shop that fits the vibe of the area, yet I'm sure they get a lot of out-of-towners.
They are a local coffee roaster, roasting quality single-origin beans, and tout themselves as having the freshest coffee in the village.
It's very artsy on the inside, from the menu itself to the mural on the opposite side. Bags of their freshly roasted coffee beans are in the glass case, along with pastries.
I small 8 oz cappuccino ($4.85) was good for me here. Received fairly quickly, too. Properly made, with excellent coffee/latte art. I really appreciated that freshly roasted coffee experience on a chilly May morning, as the outside temperature was still firmly in the 50s.
While checking out downtown Steveston, a trip to Steveston Coffee Company is a great stop for that caffeine fix. 8.5/10
