I met up with a friend after not seeing him for nearly 14 years. He and his wife briefly lived in Hawaii for a year, and his wife enjoyed Bravo.
Located under Anna Miller's, Bravo is a casual Italian spot, making their own pasta, meatballs, and sauces. A large menu here that should have something for just about any palate.
Every table gets free (seemingly unlimited) garlic knots, which are warm, fluffy, and outstanding. If anything, it might not be a bad idea to fill up on these, then take part of your meal home and enjoy leftovers.
I'm a big pesto fan, so as tempting as the meatballs were, I ordered the Rigatoni with Pesto ($16.99). I opted for the traditional pesto with basil, garlic, and imported olive oil (they also have a creamy pesto option).
Perfect al dente pasta and delicious pesto. For me, the right proportion of garlic and basil. No shortage of olive oil here, but hey, I hear it's good for your skin. Some shaved parmesan on top brought everything together.
I skipped dessert this time, but the Tiramisu ($9.99) would be at the top of the list. It's one of my favorites. We only saw the table of desserts on our way out, and had we paid attention earlier, dessert might have been ordered first. Alas, maybe next time.
Even later on a Thursday evening, it was busy. Excellent service overall. Bravo Restaurant is a definite recommend if you want a good Italian meal. 8.5/10
