Kenji's Ramen

Kenji's Ramen is located on SE Park Plaza Drive in Vancouver, Washington.

Another year brought another short visit to the Pacific Northwest. This year, cool, crisp temperatures meant more food spots to warm up. My property manager recommended Kenji's, so we came by on a Wednesday for lunch. No wait, lots of seating, and a decorated tree right in the middle of the restaurant that got ready for Halloween early.

A good menu with customized ramen choices, sushi rolls, and staff picks. You can choose regular, thin, or gluten-free noodles for your ramen.

I went straight for The Original ramen ($19): Pork and chicken broth with regular noodles, garlic sesame chili oil, kimchi, green onion, bean sprouts, corn, two slices or pork belly, and a marinated egg.

Very eye-appealing to start and delicious overall. Hearty broth, good spice from the chili oil and kimchi, and perfect al dente noodles. Everything wonderfully prepared. It's one of those dishes where I wanted to keep eating.

Great service here. I saw several people getting sushi, which also looked very appetizing. While the cooler weather made me get the ramen this time, I'm eyeing the sushi on any future visit.

Kenji's is a gem in Vancouver. If you're able to get there, I highly recommend this spot. 9.25/10
