Stack 571 Burger and Whiskey Bar

Stack 571 Burger and Whiskey Bar hs at least five locations, most of which are around Tacoma and Olympia, Washington. This blog post is for the spot on Waterfront Way in Vancouver, Washington.

I visited this place back in November. Being near the Vancouver waterfront, you'll be seconds away from the Columbia River. Whether before or after you get your food/drink fix, take in the sights.

As the name implies, Stack 571 is known for their burgers and drink selection. More wine and hard alcohol than at most casual burger spots I go to, but there are also several beers to choose from. There are everyday beer selections and rotating taps.

I chose one of the rotating beers, Sunset Fuel Hazy from Hopworks Urban. Lovely tropical and very drinkable. Beers are usually around $6.00 to $7.50 per glass, but it's better to come at Happy Hour from 3-6 PM, when all beers are $5.00.

All burger prices are a la carte (just the burger). I ordered the Banh Mi ($11.50): beef and bacon patty, pickled daikon and carrot slaw, jalapeno, cilantro, and a spicy chile garlic sauce. A good burger, with a fluffy sesame seed bun. I think a bit more meat on my burger ratio-wise would have been even better. To me, the "spicy" sauce wasn't spicy, but it was creamy and delicious.

I recommend ordering the Parmesan Truffle Fries ($5.50), which come in a small bucket with three dipping sauces. I recall a Romesco sauce and their Stack Sauce, both of which I liked. The third one escapes me at the moment but was also tasty. The fries were well-seasoned, and that truffle flavor took this to the next level.

My friend ordered the Stack 571 Burger ($9.50), their base burger and added cheese and bacon. Adding bacon was $1.95 more and $0.95 for each additional cheese.

Stack 571 also does alcoholic and non-alcoholic shakes, but that will have to wait for another day; I stuck with beer thirty this time.

More businesses like this on the Vancouver waterfront show that the area is growing. I'm glad to have enjoyed this before any major boom takes place. Stack 571 is a wonderful addition to the area. 8/10
