Baby Doll Pizza is located on SE Stark in Portland, Oregon. I finally
tried this place during Portland Pizza Week (April 17-22, 2017).
Of course, it took Portland Pizza Week to finally knock this off my bucket list of pizza places to try. Baby Doll Pizza has long received rave reviews. They have 18" pies, but sell numerous options by the slice. You can create your own pizza, of course. In addition to pizza, there are sandwiches, salads, garlic knots, and cookies available.
During Portland Pizza Week, the $2 special slice was "I can Be Your Gyro, Baby," a gyro pizza starting with a tzatziki base, gyro lamb meat, french fries, red onions, tomatoes, and feta. There was a vegetarian option, basically omitting the lamb.
If you love gyros, I certainly hope you had this one. Lots of delicious tzatziki and feta in every bite. Mostly crunchy crust with chewy edges. Not sure what the french fries were supposed to add. It was good that it wasn't bombarded with fries, but also too little on there for me to really notice.
I went at about 8:15 PM and there was still a good line forming. Slices were reheated in the oven for about 30-40 seconds before being given to the customer. Very fast service.
Baby Doll Pizza had a very good pizza. I recommend checking them out! 8.25/10
