The Shed

The Shed is located on E Palace Avenue in Santa Fe, NM.

Right in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, The Shed was highly recommended to me by friends familiar with Santa Fe. If only the panda had 10 stomachs and a vault full of money, he would be eating all over New Mexico right about now.

I arrived around 11:30, and predictably, the place was already slammed. Luckily, I managed to find a seat at the bar.

The Chicken Enchilada Plate ($12) starts with blue corn tortillas and moist chicken, topped with cheese and choice of red/green chile. The panda refused to choose and got both red and green. The dish comes with pinto beans, posole (the hominy used in posole was prominent on top of the dish), and garlic bread.

With the church nearby, might as well sing the gospel. This was heavenly good, from the enchiladas to the posole. I say go Christmas style and get both green and red chile here. Can't go wrong. Even the garlic bread ruled.

The line got longer and longer during my visit, and more people filed in to get a spot on the waiting list as I left. The Shed is legit. It's in a great area for tourists and locals alike.

Big thanks to everyone who recommended this place. The panda salutes you all. 9.25/10
