Falasophy

Falasophy is a California food truck serving Orange County, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Harbor City, and Los Angeles. For this review, I spotted them at Vidcon 2016 in late June.

I'm sure all the food trucks at Vidcon were beyond busy. Just cram thousands of hungry people into the area.

As the food truck name implies, the menu focuses on their falafel. You can also get hummus, tabouli salad, and garlic fries, among others.

The Classic Falafel Pita ($9.99) starts with a pocket pita, 5-6 falafel balls, hummus, pickled red cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, and tahini. Very good falafel here, and they definitely don't skimp on the falafel when giving you five or six of them. For me, the right ratio of hummus, tahini, cabbage, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Very colorful, attractive, and just plain tasty.

Probably next time, I'd ask for hot sauce or any spicy condiment that really would perk up my taste buds.

I admit that I was contemplating getting the Ultimate Hummus Bowl ($11.99), a bowl of hummus topped with falafel, pickled red cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, and tahini. Pretty much the Falafel Pita without the pita. And I must say, a bunch of people in line were also getting that.

Falasophy is an awesome food cart in Southern California and is probably converting more people into falafel fans daily. Check them out! 8.5/10
