Mekong Bistro

Mekong Bistro is a Cambodian restaurant on NE Siskiyou St. in Portland, Oregon. It is also home to a spicy wing challenge on Thursdays.

This place is billed as a Cambodian Restaurant, but I see an array of Southeast Asian influences overall.

Avocado Cheese Puffs are a big hit with my friends. Avocado and mozzarella cheese inside, and don't forget the sweet pineapple chili dipping sauce.

For the Crazy Wings, you can get them mild, medium, or hot. The panda doesn't do hot...he wants extra hot. Granted!

Delicious wings. The chicken is marinated, lightly breaded, and fried to perfection. Messy, but damn good. Nice spicy tickle doesn't hurt a panda.

Thai Iced Coffee is great stuff. Visually, it's just awesome to see. After a quick stir, it's a refreshing and soothing way to continue the day or finish the night. Caffeine basically has no effect on me these days.

For the spicy wing fans, there is a spicy wing challenge that people can take on Thursdays. 25 wings for $10. Eat all the wings in 15 minutes and it's free. Heck, even if you don't finish them all in the time allotted, it's still an awesome deal. Since I work full-time, I haven't been able to make it down for the challenge wings, but I hear they are amazing and use a bunch of Thai chiles.

Happy Hour is Mon-Fri from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and also Sun-Thu from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Check out Mekong Bistro! 8/10
