Planet Thai

Planet Thai is located just off NE 134th St. in Vancouver, Washington.

It was a coworker's birthday and they were awesome enough to let the spicy panda tag along. Frankly, I'm amazed they haven't steered totally clear of me and my stupid spicy ways.

We started with an order of Philly Crab Puffs. Very well made. Crispy wonton shell, creamy crab mixture on the inside. It comes with a sweet plum sauce that works well here.

You can get just about any of the main dishes spicy. The server warned me that spicy was real spicy. She clearly didn't know who she was talking to. :-)

I got the seafood Spicy Wild Jungle Curry ($10.50), ordered extra spicy. Seafood includes mussels and shrimp. Awesome crunchy veggies here. The spice was merely pleasurable. It didn't trigger watery eyes or a runny nose. Guess I'll have to bring my ghost pepper powder next time.

Brown rice on the side makes it a bit healthier. Woohoo!

Even the coconut milk-based curries look fantastic. For a more carb-filled option, there's the usual Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and a Beef Noodle Soup.

Very good service. I say it's worth a stop if you're in the area. 7.5/10
