The Willows

The Willows is a Japanese-Hawaiian buffet located in Honolulu, Hawaii.

If you are seeking a nice spot for a family get-together, this is probably the spot for you. Heck, if you can eat a ton of food, this is a great place to go. Lots of seafood and Hawaiian dishes, from appetizers to dessert. There's a prime rib carving station and a soft-serve machine. You're bound to find something to stuff your face on.

Weekday lunch buffet is about $22/person. Saturday lunch buffet is about $27. Sunday brunch is about $37. Dinner buffets are about $38. Cheaper prices for kids and senior citizens.

I got my share of seafood, going to town on the poke, crab, and sashimi. I thought the kalua pig and shrimp curry were awesome.

If you manage to save room for dessert, get the haupia and bread pudding. There may be pineapple soft serve in the machine, too. Gotta sneak something refreshing in the meal.

Another cool part of Sunday brunch: the omelet station. There's a cook who will make whatever omelet you'd like, as long as they have the ingredients for it.

There's valet parking there, but consider parking on the street or in one of the adjacent parking lots.

While the wallet may not like you after this experience, I'd still tell my mainland friends to fit Willows into their list of places to go. 8.25/10
