Bleu Door Bakery

Bleu Door Bakery is located on Main Street in Vancouver, Washington.

I went here for brunch on a Sunday morning. Not too bad of a wait for two people, probably 10 minutes or so at 10:30 AM.

Bleu Door serves pastries and baked goods, breakfast, and lunch. On Fridays and Saturdays, they will have a Reuben sandwich as a lunch option.

As you walk in, you'll see an array of baked goods and sweet treats on the counter and the display case. Many people will be tempted to purchase a few, you won't be the first.

Awesome coffee here, locally from 9 Bar Espresso Coffee Roasters. It's bottomless coffee, so be sure to get your caffeine fix.

Beignets (three for $6) are a wonderful start to any brunch. They're larger than most beignets I've ever seen, but are very light and fluffy, with a generous amount of powdered sugar on top. Pair it with their in-house lemon curd for an added refreshing experience.

I got their House Pulled Pork Benedict ($13.25): House-made English muffin, roasted butternut squash, juicy pulled pork, caramelized onions, and poached eggs, topped with house-made hollandaise. Potatoes on the side, also with more caramelized onions. Everything was wonderful, eggs perfectly poached. Add some hot sauce to this (they have Cholula or Tapatio), and you'll be good to go.

Positive reviews also go to their Corned Beef Hash ($13): House-made corned beef, potatoes, red bell peppers, sweet onions, two eggs any style, and creamy horseradish sauce. Served with local greens and mini butter croissant. Great presentation. Not everyday you see a mini croissant with your meal, either.

Excellent service here and bright atmosphere. Bleu Door was a welcoming place to get brunch, and I'll definitely be back in the future, especially to get that Reuben. 8.75/10
