Nayhely's Place

Nayhely's Place is located on NE Hwy 99 in Vancouver, Washington.

Basically tucked in the middle of a strip mall around the 9100 block, I admit that I hadn't heard of Nayhely's Place until I looked up more breakfast spots in the Vancouver area. And to think, they've been around over two years now. Oops.

It wasn't too busy when I got brunch on a Saturday morning. It was bright and inviting inside, and I took a seat where I could watch the college basketball game on their mounted flat-screen TV.

The breakfast menu has your usual omelets, American breakfast combinations (i.e. eggs, bacon, and toast), and skillets.

I started with a cup of coffee, and they had no problems just leaving the carafe there after pouring me a cup. It's $1.99 for virtually bottomless coffee. I love this place already. Pandas need caffeine to function properly.

My eyes turned to the Corned Beef Hash plate ($10.99). Real corned beef mixed with peppers and onions, two eggs any style, choice of hash browns or home fries, and choice of toast or pancakes. I got overeasy eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. A healthy-sized portion of food here that arrived on two plates.

Juicy, tender, and real corned beef, none of the canned stuff here. The peppers and onions still had a slight crunch to them. Perfect eggs and lightly golden browned hash browns. Fluffy pancakes, about 5-6" in diameter. A lovely meal.

Hot sauce choices include Tabasco, Tapatio, or Cholula. It's like they knew I was coming.

It didn't appear they bring the final check to anyone, but just go up to the register, find your check, and pay there.

There are Early Bird Specials on weekdays before 10 AM. Lunch dishes include various sandwiches, soups, and salads. Dinner options include burgers, steak, salmon, and pasta. They even do dessert.

Nayhely's actually serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'll probably consider coming back for lunch or dinner at a later date. 8.5/10
