I decided to explore parts of Anaheim on foot while there, and M&M Donuts popped up after a fairly lengthy walk west of Disneyland. It's one of those drive-thru doughnut shops, although there is a counter you can walk up to on the opposite side to place an order.
The walk-up counter unfortunately has no menu; it's probably only on the drive-thru portion of the building.
While M&M Donuts serves doughnuts with M&Ms on them, most people will say the signature pastry here is their blueberry doughnut, just $1.00 each.
Tons of blueberries in the doughnut itself and a wonderful glaze on top to drive home more of that blueberry experience. I went at about 9 PM when the place reopens for the late-night push, so I was fortunate to get a doughnut piping hot, fresh out of the fryer and freshly glazed.
My friend went with me and enjoyed their M&M chocolate doughnut. Now that's a person using proper logic.
The wait can get pretty nuts depending on when you go; some reviews have noted over an hour to get your doughnuts. I again got real lucky, with no line. The line was predictably longer for the drive-thru than for the walk-up window.
While it may or may not be worth a long wait for one of these (all subjective), my experience on this trip was very positive. I would totally go again - and I'll hope there is no line the next time, too. 9/10
