Zombee Donuts is located at the corner of E Chapman Avenue and N Yale Avenue in Fullerton, California.
Established in 2014, Zombee Donuts has a cool gimmick, one that really helps it stand out from other places.
After living in the Pacific NW for over 10 years and looking at some of the selections at Zombee, I can't help but think that there are spoofs of Voodoo Doughnut here.
I loved the interior decoration, though. Really playing up the whole zombie/dead/Halloween gimmick.
It was also fairly evident when ordering their Zombee Donut, which is structured to look like a zombie (apparently). Like Voodoo's famed Voodoo Doll doughnut, it is a filled doughnut with raspberry jam. The filling for Zombee's rendition is at the "head" of the doughnut.
That being said, it is a very good pastry. Very fluffy and filled with a good helping of raspberry jam. It's otherwise a good glazed doughnut.
My friend got the Death By Chocolate doughnut. As the name implies, chocolate doughnut with chocolate and chocolate chips on top.
It's a small shop with its own private parking lot. Just a few spaces in back, but there are some more cool signs there.
If you're in Fullerton, check out Zombee Donuts! 8.25/10
