Bollywood Theater

Bollywood Theater has two locations in Portland: one on SE Division and another on NE Alberta. Although the picture below is for the Division location, I went to the NE Alberta spot for food.

As you might expect, Indian food is served here. Order at the counter and then they'll bring the food to you.

The menu ranges from street food appetizers to full entrees. Being a beer fan, I loved that they have rotating IPAs on tap for $4.50. Got myself a pint of Gigantic IPA while I waited. Thumbs up for the beer.

Thali Meals are the entree-sized portions. It's a choice of curry served with saffron rice, sambar, dal, raita, paratha, and green chutney. I tried the Goan-Style Shrimp ($16.50) this time. Very flavorful curry and delicious shrimp.

They have more chiles if you want the meal spicier. Of course, the panda couldn't resist.

I also love that both locations are close to a Salt & Straw -- it's actually next door on Alberta. Might as well get your ice cream fix while you're at it.

Not sure why it took me this long to go here, but I loved it. I will be back. 8.5/10
