Eggtc

Eggtc is located on Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri.

My first breakfast spot on my KC tour, and frankly, I picked this one for the awesome punny name. I came in at around 9 on a Sunday morning and there was a good wait for a table. Luckily, traveling solo, I quickly snagged a spot at the diner counter with no wait time.

As the name of the place suggests, this place has a lot of egg dishes, from omelets to Eggs Benedict. I went with the traditional Eggs Benedict this time ($9.49) with smoked ham and country potatoes.

Perfect poached eggs and good hollandaise. Good potatoes. Pair that with a couple cups of coffee, and I was good to go the rest of the morning. Very good, friendly service at the counter.

I heard they had some amazing cinnamon rolls there, but they were already out by the time I got there. The two ladies on my immediate left had one. Looked like a nice, petite roll. Selling out in less than three hours says a lot, although I wonder if they make more when they run out.

The waiting list and line kept getting longer while I was there. I guess it must be a dang good spot.

Eggtc is a solid breakfast spot in KCMO! 8.25/10

  1. This is a gorgeous place, and I won't soon forget it. Attended an event here sponsored by the company. The best halloween party nyc was held in one of the rooms next to the hall. I loved their buttery mashed sweet potato.
