Bassetts Ice Cream

Bassetts Ice Cream is located in the Reading Terminal Market on N 12th Street in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

After a full day of sightseeing in historical downtown Philadelphia, Mom and I walked several blocks to the Reading Terminal Market, an indoor food court. There are many options for food or drinks, and is a must-stop if you're a foodie like myself.

Bassetts is in a naturally crowded part of the market, so there are marked lanes on the floor, hoping to give patrons instructions on where to stand for ice cream.

I got a small order of their bestselling Salted Caramel Pretzel ice cream. Yes, I ordered one small scoop in a cup, and it came to me more like a giant softball-sized scoop. Dessert win.

The base is Bassetts vanilla ice cream, blending in rich salted caramel and chocolate-covered pretzels. Decadent, delicious, and downright addicting. When you've been in business since 1861, you must be doing something right.

Tried to get a shot of the pretzel piece in the front center

I forgot to write down the price, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the $4 to $5 range.

If you have a sweet tooth and in Philly, head to Bassetts for some kickass ice cream! 9/10
