Benihana of Tokyo (Waikiki)

Benihana of Tokyo is a Japanese steakhouse located in Waikiki, on the island of Oahu.

I joined my extended family for dinner one night. If you want food and entertainment from a chef right before your eyes, this is the place to go. The guy we had at our table was awesome, very charismatic.

Traditional dinners come with sides like soup, salad, veggies, and tea. Combination dinners also include dessert.

My cousins and I love spicy food, so anything with the word "diablo" on it was gonna get ordered. The "Seafood Diablo" ($24) has shrimp, calamari, and scallops with assorted veggies and rice noodles. Creamy sriracha in this one gave it a little kick, and we got some extra creamy sriracha on the side. Happy panda.

Also had hot sake with my meal:

It's usually a good idea for everyone to get something different and then share with the rest of the table. Other people ordered steak, chicken, and fried rice. Everything was cooked very well to our liking.

Obviously, this place was already costing an arm and a leg, and being in Waikiki, the wallet didn't like any of us later. Still, it's a nice experience if you want the "food and entertainment" package deal. 7/10
