The Dump Truck is located near SW 10th and Alder in downtown Portland, Oregon. Julia and Reid worked in Beijing for a few years and brought their love for dumplings back to the States.
On my visit to this food cart, there were four types of dumplings available. Using the ol' panda logic, I decided to get all four as part of the Super Sampler Mix 'n Match ($8).

Mr. Ma's Special is probably the most traditional dumpling, using pork, ginger, and green onions. This admittedly was one of my favorites mainly because I didn't even bother using any sauce to enjoy this.

Down 2 Earth is definitely the "unique combination" of portobello mushrooms, rice noodles, and ginger. I think the earthy flavors here were a bit too overpowering for my taste buds.

Potato curry is a Malaysian-style dumpling with yellow curry, leeks, potatoes, and hints of creamy coconut. It's got good flavor, although I thought the starchy component might have been a bit much in this case. I think it has promise.

There is a bacon cheeseburger dumpling here. Even though I didn't really get a big blast of meat crack, this one is good. The secret sauce reminds me of a ketchup-like condiment. Winner.

As for the other sauces, the spicy tahini is quite good. The vegan coconut yogurt sauce is OK. The soy vinegar sauce was probably not the one that I should have tried straight up. Oh well, different tastes for different people.
I think this cart was more a hit-or-miss experience after trying all the dumplings. Overall, I give this place a thumbs up since there are a couple dumplings that I really enjoyed.
7/10
