Gabagool (Part 2)

(Original Review -- August 2013)

Since my original visit last summer, Gabagool has remained an extremely popular food cart with tons of rave reviews. I returned to Gabagool late last month on a sunny spring day to try some of Ryan's flatbread sandwiches.

The main menu has largely remained the same. Ravioli is now an option. I still remember the awesome tagliatelle I had last summer.

On this visit, I got the Gabagool flatbread sandwich ($7): capicola, salami, romaine, roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and hot peppers inside fresh flatbread.

A nice bed of mozzarella inside, with cold cuts resting on top. The veggies -- and presumably the juice from the hot peppers -- made this one a true winner. The meats come from Olympic Provisions, a local Portland hot spot. The produce here is generally locally sourced.

The other flatbread sandwiches also sound amazing. It's a matter of what your personal preference is.

Pasta lovers and sandwich lovers, rejoice.Gabagool is a highly recommended food cart! 9/10
