YouTube: More adventures to come!

Over the last couple of weeks, I've uploaded some spicochist reviews, but I've gotten back to taking on a few (smaller) food challenges. It may either come from others on YouTube, or just stuff I feel like videotaping.

Chocolate challenge = win
I finally got around to officially reviewing Mrs. Renfro's ghost pepper salsa. I got mine at WinCo for less than $3, and it was well worth it. Awesome heat, smoky flavor, really everything I'm looking for. Still gushing about it to this day, and I polished it off weeks ago. I've also tried the mango habanero salsa, but it's a bit too sweet for me and not enough heat. Still good, but the ghost pepper salsa just wins by TKO.

My spicochist reviews continued with two flavors of beef jerky. Both were real sweet because sugar is listed second on the ingredients list. I preferred the Spicy Szechuan beef jerky over the Extra Hot Five Spices version for being more savory and having that pleasing peppery kick.

Finally, Joe Park has an awesome YouTube channel were he challenges others to take on his makeshift food challenges. One was a Halloween-themed edition with five popular chocolate confections (Snickers, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Milky Way, KitKat, and Twix). All the chocolates had to remain sealed in the package, and I couldn't start unwrapping the next one until I cleared your mouth of the previous chocolate.

Joe posted a time of 4:21, and I basically showed my ineptness in unwrapping chocolate. I feel like I posted a respectable time anyway. But hey, it's all in good fun, and this was obviously a tasty challenge. Definitely much better than the spicy crap that I do most of the time.

As the title of this post states, I have some exciting adventures on the horizon, which may include a couple of meet-ups with Naader Reda in December. It's still a work in progress right now, but if all goes according to plan, I should have some great material for this blog. Stay tuned!
