Burgerville

Burgerville is a regional fast food chain, found in Oregon and Washington, with the vast majority of locations around the Portland area. I may have lived in the Pacific Northwest for over six years, but I only made my first visit to Burgerville a few weeks ago.

My first food item at Burgerville was the Walla Walla Onion Rings that Burgerville only serves for a limited time during the summer months. Yeah, I failed to get a photo of it, but it was a damn good onion ring. Good size, ideal amount of breading for an awesome crunch.

When my mom visited a couple weeks ago, she wanted a burger close to where I work, so I suggested Burgerville. My co-worker suggested for us a Tillamook burger (yup, that's local Tillamook cheese), the limited-time sweet potato fries (those roll out during the early fall), and a chocolate shake. And yes, apparently Burgerville uses real ice cream.

I must say, it's a good cheeseburger. Simple and fresh. Yup, that certainly tasted like real beef. Awesome.

The sweet potato fries had a slight crunch, very good if you enjoy a treat like that. It comes with a side of chipotle mayo, which admittedly had an acceptable kick on the throat region.

The weather may be getting cooler, but that doesn't stop people here from chugging milkshakes.

Frankly, for a regional chain, it's a solid meal. The one near my office in Salmon Creek gets constant business. Burgerville touts using local ingredients, from the beef to the vegetables.

I'll have to check out the breakfast menu in the future. It's served until 11 a.m. and features the usual breakfast burritos, burgers, and platters. 7.75/10
