Ocean City Seafood is a dim sum restaurant located on SE 82nd Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
After several stops at HK Cafe for my dim sum fix, I decided to try another spot this time for proverbial science. And naturally, I couldn't go alone; I had three friends with me to feast away.
Like HK Cafe, there are servers with carts roaming the dining area with dumplings, buns, noodles, vegetables, and more. Pick what you want and eat to your heart's content. Bottomless hot tea and water as well.
As the name of the place (probably) implies, you'll get a lot of dim sum with seafood here, usually fish, shrimp, or scallops. The ones that I had had fresh seafood and veggies inside. Be sure to get the fat potstickers and some sauce on the side. I also loved the pork hash and the mini pork buns.
The cart with the egg custard filling and the sesame balls (jian dui) didn't get to my area until the last minute, but the panda fortunately saved room.
It was about $60.00 for four people, a very reasonable price.
Overall, a great experience. Predictably busy, which I think is a good thing. If you like dim sum, Ocean City Seafood is a great place to go! 8.5/10
