Reel M Inn is located on SE Division Street in Portland, Oregon.
It took a while, but I finally got to this spot. Reel M Inn is a well-known classic dive bar among locals, and people come here for the fried chicken and jojos (potato wedges battered and fried).
Of course, there's a full bar, and roughly 5-6 beers on tap (with more beers/ciders in bottles or cans). I got a local favorite, Barley Brown's Pallet Jack IPA.
The fried chicken is made to order, so expect to wait at least half an hour for it. I got the Breat Meal ($7.75), a huge fried chicken breast with four jojos. You'll get several sauces brought to your table as well, which include honey mustard, brown/hot mustard, hot sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, and tartar sauce.
The fried chicken here is well worth the wait. Extremely juicy and moist, crunchy and flavorful. Even the jojos are amazing; crunchy with the batter but soft and pillowy on the inside. I went with the hot mustard for my condiment.
Probably some of the best fried chicken and jojos I've had.
There are several TVs going throughout the bar, so you'll be able to watch your favorite sport while enjoying your food and beer.
Other appetizers include mac and cheese bites, jalapeno poppers, onion rings, and corn dogs. You can even get chicken strips instead of the bone-in chicken.
Head to Reel M Inn for some chicken, jojos, and beer! 9.25/10
