This is in the NoDa (North Davidson) area of Charlotte. To me, it feels like a mini-Portland. Lots of places to eat and drink, with an artsy vibe. This part of Charlotte also feels more suburban than some other areas.
I admit to coming here more for the business name. As you'd expect, it's coffee and espresso drinks here.
There's a good Dark Chocolate mocha here (hot version) for $5. I opted for skim milk here as opposed to whole milk. No latte art or anything, just a straightforward drink. It got too sweet for me after I drank it for a few hours on my drive, but it did the trick overall.
For a good coffee stop (and amusing name), Smelly Car Coffee is the place to go! 6.75/10
