Pink & Black Waffle Shack (Part 3)

(Original Review -- May 2012)
(Second Review -- October 2012)

After a few months of hibernation, Sadie re-opened her Pink & Black Waffle Shack on March 1 near NE 30th and Killingsworth.

A list of sweet waffles and savory waffles awaits. For me, it was a Wake & Bake (savory) kinda morning again, and the #4 seemed like the internet-winning combo. Bacon, "frambled" eggs (part-fried, part-scrambled), cheddar, and maple glaze on one of her large waffles.

The secret waffle recipe is what separates Sadie's cart from other waffle carts. For me, it's a much fluffier waffle with a bit of sweetness. It's a good-sized portion that should satisfy the regular stomach. The panda considers the Wake & Bake a 2-minute snack.

Delicious round bacon strips, good eggs, and addicting maple glaze. The Wake & Bake from my previous blog post in October 2012 featured thick-cut bacon, and the panda does miss that option. A side of me would love an over-easy egg option as well, just so that everything can get 10 times messier.

Pink & Black Waffle Shack generally opens on weekends for brunch (11-3) at this time. Check out her Facebook page for the latest updates! 9/10
