Sandwich Depot Deli

Sandwich Depot Deli is located at the Cartlandia food pod in Portland, Oregon. Brett is the owner of this cart, which opened about two months ago.

Before his food cart, Brett had two brick-and-mortar spots, one off NE Glisan in Portland and another in Gresham. He gets his bread from Portland French Bakery fresh, at 5:30 a.m. each day he opens the cart. It ranges from baguettes to whole wheat bread.

It's a simple menu of 8-9 sandwiches. During the winter months, it appears there may also be a soup available for sale.

The California Special ($6.50) contains bacon, a heaping pile of turkey, lettuce, tomato, avocado spread, cream cheese, Swiss, 1000 Island dressing, and mayo. I opted to 86 the mayo, since the avocado spread already has mayo inside.

The sandwich was a pretty generous portion, with all components clearly fresh. I probably enjoyed the creamy avocado spread the most, and the 1000 Island added a wonderful touch. I think a bit more bacon would have made the sandwich even more epic.

This is a food cart worth checking out. Brett's a real nice guy. Solid sandwich. 8.5/10

  2. The organic foods are usually somehow damaging to human health should they are grown having an abnormal level of fertilizers. If the particular pesticides are employed in an excess amount then a food could be harmful in a fashion that it would certainly develop antibiotic Tyler
