Hog Time

Hog Time, located in the food pod off SW 3rd Ave. and Stark St., serves their take on pulled pork BBQ.

Menu
I was already full from the carts I had tried earlier in the day, but the man running the food cart gave me a sample of their pulled pork, homemade pita bread, and creamy chipotle sauce.

I was quite impressed with the pork. It had good flavor, with a wonderful little zip of spice. Basically, the food cart operator told me the pork is braised in a sauce that contains jalapenos and other spices. The pita was good, not mind-blowing. The chipotle sauce was nice and smoky, complementing the pork and pita well.

This basically is a sampling of their Hogzilla ($7): braised hog, lettuce, tomato, chipotle sauce, and yogurt sauce on their homemade pita. While I will be in graduate school during the weekdays (Hog Time is currently open Mon-Fri), hopefully I will be back for the Hogzilla. From what I had, a very nice experience and great service. 7.5/10
