It was a sunny day, perfect for a lot of sugar -- preferably a cold, sugary treat. Thus, it was no surprise that when I saw the words "ice cream sandwiches" on one of her signs, I flat out spun 90 degrees and had the beaming panda eyes. It's like a toddler seeing something shiny. Must have.
Marion also has around six different types of cake truffles, including at least one gluten-free option. I went with a lemon curd cake truffle ($2 for one, $20 for a dozen). A lemony cake ball covered in a white chocolate shell. An excellent job; the cake was light and moist, while the cool white chocolate shell had that slight crunch. I could see myself eating at least a dozen in one sitting. Sugar high, anyone?

I really loved the ice cream sandwich more for the generous chunks of macadamia nuts than anything else. Yup, it made me think of Hawaii, but that contrasting nutty texture also made this one a huge favorite.
This is a booth at the Salem Farmers Markets that you should check out! Be sure to also follow and like Marion's business Facebook page! 8.5/10
