BUNS is a food truck located in Seattle, Washington. They make gourmet burgers (using organic ingredients), and also prepare a few lovely French fry dishes...poutine, anyone?
BUNS operates on a Monday-Friday schedule,
appearing at various locations throughout the week. Unfortunately, they will no longer be at Starbucks HQ anymore. Such a shame, since Starbucks HQ is one of the places in Seattle where many food trucks rotate (so you could try to get something different each weekday if you wanted to).

Menu (mid-October 2011) |
I ordered their "Hottie" burger ($13.20 including tax): a 1/3 lb. all-natural beefpatty with pepperjack cheese, fire-roasted green chile, lettuce, tomato, onion, and chipotle mayo (all on a sesame seed bun). All burgers are cooked medium-well unless otherwise instructed. All burgers also come with a side of french fries.

No nice cross-section cut this time...
...but I took a bite to show how my patty was cooked |
The burger was OK. I liked the bite of the onion, green chile and melted pepperjack cheese here. The chipotle mayo added a touch of smokiness, while the lettuce and tomato brought those refreshing components. The fries were made just how I like it (firm and crisp on the outside, soft inside). Unfortunately, this meal was vastly overpriced for my liking, and I wouldn't have minded a bit more heat in this one. If it's called the "Hottie," I expected a bit more kick from this.
I'm definitely intrigued by BUNS' fry offerings. They have:
Truffle Fries (fries with truffle oil, $3)
Balsamic Fries (fries with mandarano balsamic glaze, $3)
Kewpie Fries (fries with kewpie mayo, $4)
Poutine (fries with cheese curds and St. Hubert poutine sauce, $5)
BUNS has a decent burger. I'm just hesitant to pay about $13 for it (plus fries).
6/10
