Oops, got there a tad too early.... |
There we go...open for business! |
With the chilly weather in full force, I ordered a cup of their tomato, fennel, and orange soup ($3.50): a lovely blend of tomatoes, garlic, fennel, and a touch of orange, topped with some Parmesan cheese and house-made croutons (made with Grand Central bread). The soup came with a slice of Grand Central bread and some butter.

With a half slice of Grand Central Bread (other half in the package) |
I personally didn't need to have the side of bread, but hey, there's nothing like taking that bread (or your grilled cheese) and dunking it in some tomato soup. That's some serious comfort food.
Savor Soup House rotates their soups every weekday. Along with two types of salads and three types of grilled cheese sandwiches, one may choose to make their own grilled cheese sandwich. I personally like this touch because it allows the customer to get exactly what they want -- given the ingredients on hand at the time.
Check out Savor Soup House for some comforting soup and grilled cheese today! 8.5/10
